About Fatumata
Hi! I’m Fatumata – a dedicated, friendly and hardworking A-level student currently studying Biology, Chemistry and Psychology. I’ve always had a passion for helping others understand things in a simple and engaging way, which is what led me to tutoring.
Outside of studying, I’m a creative and active person who loves trying new things. I enjoy crocheting, roller skating, swimming, and playing a bit of basketball when I can. I’m also a huge fan of trying new foods and exploring different cultures – anything that adds a little adventure to life! I bring that same curiosity and energy into my tutoring sessions, always aiming to make learning feel fun, positive, and personal.
As someone who’s recently been through GCSEs myself, I get how stressful school can be. That’s why I focus on keeping lessons calm, supportive, and tailored to each student — whether they need a confidence boost, subject help, or both!

I believe tutoring should be clear, supportive, and empowering. My aim is to help students not only understand the subject content but actually enjoy it – even the tricky parts. I create a space where students feel safe to ask questions, make mistakes, and grow in confidence over time.
I adapt my lessons to fit each student’s learning style – using active recall, timed writing tasks, visual aids, discussion-based analysis, and breaking down complex ideas into simple, relatable chunks. Whether we’re analysing poetry, tackling an RE question, or exploring biology topics, I make sure lessons are structured, engaging, and focused on progress.
Lesson Structure:
Lessons typically last between 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the student’s age, focus level, and goals. Shorter sessions are perfect for younger students or focused revision, while longer lessons allow time for deeper understanding and practice.
Experience & Qualifications:
I’m currently an A-level student studying Biology, Chemistry and Psychology, with a predicted A in Biology. I have a strong academic background in English and Religious Education, and I’ve tutored both peers and younger students in and outside of school. I specialise in helping learners improve their writing, build confidence, and get exam-ready — all while keeping sessions calm, positive and productive.
Who My Lessons Are For:
I offer tutoring for students aged 6 to 16 – from primary school support in English and RE, to GCSE-level help with English Language & Literature, Religious Education, and Biology. Whether your child needs help with homework, building strong foundations, or mastering exam technique, I’m here to support them every step of the way.
