About Karoliina
I hold three law degrees and worked for a long time in the legal world, so my knowledge of both legal and business English is very good. I love dogs and volunteer at dog shelters. I grew up in Finland, but now live in The United Kingdom. I like to read and ski and I love the outdoors and walks, what ever the weather.

I use a lot of total physical response learning as this helps to remember new words. I usually let the pupils to choose the topics of the vocabulary as it makes the lessons interesting. I can teach all levels from beginners to proficient. First lesson conversation usually evolves around introductions both ways and me feeling the student's language level. Tutoring is individual and I need to know why the pupil is learning the desired language. What is the intended use for it? Also, it is important for me to know which skill is most important to the pupil; speaking, listening, reading or writing, or a combination. With this knowledge I build the lessons accordingly.
I have taught English in secondary school in Finland and online for different companies. I hold a TEFL certificate. I hold a matriculation certificate in Finnish and English.
