About Farren Ananda
Hi, I'm Farren, an A-level Economics and Accounting tutor based in Singapore. I achieved the highest raw mark and A* in A-Levels Economics and Accounting under Cambridge GCE and I focus on the two things students usually struggle with most: applying economic theory to real exam-style questions (not just defining terms), and getting accounting mechanics — journal entries, financial statements, ratio analysis — to actually click instead of being memorized.
My approach: we go through past papers and mark schemes together so you learn exactly what examiners are looking for, not just the textbook version of the topic. For Accounting specifically, I focus on getting the process right through repetition until it's automatic, because that's what most points are lost on under exam time pressure.
First session: bring a topic you're stuck on or a past paper question, and we'll work through it together — you'll know by the end whether my teaching style fits how you learn.

Online only, I start off by getting a sense of where you're at as a student (your current comprehension/level of knowledge) so we can go off from there.
Typically, I'll teach you from scratch by introducing the materials first from Unit 1 onwards. At the end of each unit, I'll provide a set of questions that you will do to ensure your comprehension. Afterwards, we'll go through your answers and discuss it together to tighten your understanding. After all the materials are finished, we can go do practice papers and I'll teach you how to properly write the essays.
I am flexible on my teaching style though, able to adapt to your preferences.
These lessons are mainly aimed for current students aiming to take the A-Levels Economics and Accounting.
