About Baik
I am a native Korean who is fluent in both Korean and English. I was born and raised mostly in South Korea and also graduated university in South Korea. The school that I graduated from (Korea university) is one of the most prestigious schools in South Korea. I've also lived for a few years in Europe and my English is pretty much native. The deep understanding I have of both languages allows me to better explain and put into context Korean phrases/idioms for those learning Korean for the first time. As someone who really wants to help people achieve their learning goals, I will try my best to tailor the courses to your needs and your interests.

[Techniques and teaching methodology] If you are a beginner and want to learn conversational/daily Korean, I will first ask you what topics you'd be interested (culture, music, business...) and prepare relevant materials that help you widen your vocabulary in these areas. Then in each lesson we will practise speaking and writing basic phrases using this newly-learnt vocabulary. Or if you want to learn Korean the really fun way and you have a certain K-pop song, movie or book you've wanted to delve into, we can use those for our lessons as well. If you are preparing for a specific exam and have a specific textbook you want to use, I can formulate the courses based on that. I also believe practising past papers are very important when preparing for exams, so we can either do these together during the lessons or I can give them to you as homework.

[Qualifications/experience as a teacher] I volunteered for quite a long time to teach Korean and introduce Korean culture to foreign students. I've also helped students prepare for TOPIK and have taken IB Korean myself to score highest points.
