About Aimee
I am a very creative person with a positive attitude, and I love how rewarding it can be working with children. With 7 years worth of experience taking care of children from 2 - 16, I have learnt how to adapt and overcome a multitude of situations. I am highly motivated and my work within the performing arts allows me to be confident, empathetic and communicative. I am skilled at balancing fun and education to teach children in an engaging way. I employ a child-led approach in my teaching methodology, tailoring my lessons to each child's unique interests and individuality. This focus on practical, hands-on learning particularly supports children who may struggle in traditional school environments. Typically, my lessons last between 30 to 50 minutes, depending on the child's age. I have over 2.5 years of experience as a teaching assistant, but have been working with children in a variety of roles for the past 7 years (as a Beaver leader, singing and theatre teacher and owner of a children's party company.) I have undergone training in behaviour management, dyslexia, sensory integration and have experience working with children with autism, ADHD, PDA, anxiety I specialise in teaching primary school-aged children, particularly those working at late KS1/ early KS2 level.
