About Jackel
Hello I am Jackel from Hong Kong. Graduation at Royal Holloway University of London with Music as my major study. student of James Kirby.
As a piano scholar at Royal Holloway, I am fully passionate about piano and music theory and keep exploring new ways to make my students understand the complex knowledge in an easier way.
With the help of pedagogy module taught by Dr. Mary Dullea, it helped me grow both as a teacher and performer.
Lesson will be taught mainly using Cantonese and English (With a bit of Mandarin).
Awarded ARSM (Teaching Diploma from ABRSM), both ATCL and LMusTCL from Trinity. (Piano Performance and Theory, both in diploma level)
LLCM (Composition Diploma from London College of Music Examinations)
Currently working with Open 2 Music, delivering Piano and music theory lesson to both Primary and Secondary school.
Considering the safety for having a lesson with me, I have received Child Protection in Education (Music) certificate issued by TES for safeguarding. I also held an enhanced DBS check with update service.

Both Face to face (Depending on location) and Online work well. Focusing on ABRSM grade 5 and 8 theory exam as well as Trinity AMUSTCL. Offer variety of learning including Orchestration and composition. Aim to build interest and understanding the reason behind music theory. Prices are depending on grading and Travel Cost might apply if it is too far away. Grade 5: £40 Grade 8: £50 AMusTCL: £60
Please note that if a lesson is cancelled Within 24 hours by the student for any reason, the full lesson fee will still apply.
