About Paul
I'm Paul Daniels, a recent Mechanical Engineering graduate from California State University, Chico. I've had plenty of math tutoring experience during my undergraduate years as I have tutored subjects from Pre-Calculus to Calculus I in the university's math department from 2019 to 2022. Even after all these years, I still am passionate about teaching subjects like Calculus since I've always had a drive to not only shape myself skill set wise, but to also help other people sharpen their skill set and share my knowledge and wisdom with them.

Hello! My approach as a tutor involves taking careful steps to problem solving without skipping any crucial and imperative steps and starting small before we get to the more complicated problems. I can ask students what they're studying to get a feel of what they need help on, then exchange math documents a bit whether it be homework or test prep sheets, and then do a walk through process of how the problem at hand is to be solved while giving hints through said process. I can even encourage students to try the next problem and see if they can solve it themselves so they can get the full confidence and knowledge on the subject, which I think is very effective since I've been taught the more you successfully solve problems yourself, the more knowledge you retain and the more said knowledge becomes ingrained in your mind. As for who the lessons are for, they're mostly for college level students taking Calculus I, as well as Pre-Calculus.
