About Marcela
I have been a teacher since 2007, when I got my master's degree and worked as a trainee teacher in the Spanish program at Southern Illinois University.
After graduation, I worked at Tennessee Tech University as a Spanish instructor, and then at the Center for English as a Second Language, the Old School Community Center, and EAFIT University as an English teacher. I also served as an English Language Fellow at Mataram University, Indonesia.
I have taught over 50 English and Spanish courses preparing international students for university life at an American university and helping adult learners improve their language skills.

First of all, I am learning French myself, so I can understand the challenges you may face with a new language. In addition, I have a doble master's degree from Southern Illinois University in Teaching English as a Second Language and Spanish.
I have worked as a tutor and teacher in several universities, community centers, and schools, with students of different levels and nationalities. I make communication a central part of my classes, and try to make classes interesting and connected to real-life situations.
