About Terra
Before moving into tutoring I worked for ten years as a public school teacher and an undergraduate instructor. I understand not only how students learn, but also what the demands of today's classrooms are.
I have taught a variety of humanities subjects including History, World Religions, and ELA. At the core of each of these subjects is writing. I have helped more than one thousand students to strengthen their writing skills, boost their confidence, and be more successful across the board.

Learning how to express yourself through the written word is an invaluable life skill. By working with me students will gain confidence as they build a writing skill set that will serve them for a lifetime.
Everyone learns differently and my approach is individualized for each student's style and needs. Some learners do best having oral conversations about content before engaging in writing while others need highly structured support to make them feel confident. We will discover together the best approach and, with practice, your student will become a more successful writer.
I have experience teaching students in grades 6-12 and undergraduate students.
