About Alberto

Born in San Fernando (Cádiz) in 1983. He began his musical studies at the conservatory of his hometown, specializing in saxophone with maestro Miguel Garrido Aldomar. Later, he accessed the intermediate grade conservatory of Cádiz with this instrument where he obtained the First Prize of the II Chamber Contest interpreting Hindemith. At the same time, he takes saxophone interpretation courses with renowned teachers such as Antonio Torres, Jose Antonio Santos and Miguel Romero.
Because of his interest in early music, and more specifically in the recorder and its repertoire from the s. XVII-XVIII, he enters the same conservatory with this instrument, exercising together with the saxophone, the double specialty.
There he takes classes and his first guidelines on the interpretation of historical music from the hand of Guillermo Peñalver. Meanwhile, he is trained in the practice and theory of this instrument by taking numerous courses with prominent personalities in the world of early music such as Michael Schneider, Vicente Parrilla, Fernando Paz, Paul Leenhouts and Dan Laurin, among others.
After finishing his intermediate studies, he entered the "Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya"; (ESMuC) with the highest qualification, where he licensed with the prestigious researcher Pedro Memelsdorff and where he received master classes from musicians like Andrew Ackerman, Lorenzo Cavasanti, Xavier Blanch, Marc Häntai, Pep Borràs, Lorenzo Coppola, etc.
As a recorder, he has given concerts at the Palau de la Música, at the Sierra de Aracena Theater, at the Caixa Fòrum in Barcelona under the direction of Emilio Moreno, as a soloist with the "Orquesta Barroca de Sevilla", in Brasil with the baroque orchestra "A Trupe Barroca", with JOF in Figueras under the baton of Jordi Piccorelli, etc.
Upon finishing his degree, he founded the chamber orchestra "Elcurarojo", in which he is soloist and artistic director, and with which he has performed several concerts around Spain and Italia and recorded his first solo CD "Famous Concerts for Small recorders”.
He has also performed concerts with groups of other musical styles such as "Los Aslandticos"; with the saxophone and with the folk-metal group "Saurom"; flutes and whistles, with which he has toured much of the Spanish geography, highlighting two of the most important festivals such as "Viña Rock"; and "Leyendas del Rock"; performing in the "La Riviera"; room in Madrid, recording with said group for RTVE and participating in several of their cd's.
