About Richard
I completed my education in the UK, where I obtained a PhD in protein chemistry. Further, I completed postdoctoral research in the same field. I later put this advanced knowledge to use in the healthcare sector, working in a clinical genetics service, helping to diagnose patients with rare genetic disorders.
Since coming to Canada, I have been tutoring learners in biology and chemistry. Soon I will start the BEd program at York University. I aspire to teach the senior and intermediate divisions in biology and chemistry to inspire the next generation of scientists.

Through my expert knowledge of biological sciences, I have a wide breadth of knowledge to assist learners in biology. I am flexible to student's learning needs. I have tutored students in completing specific homework tasks or reinforcing their learning of classroom material. I have also developed specific learning plans to help students prepare for specific pursuits, such as college entrance exams.
With my postgraduate and post-doctoral experience in academic research, and professional experience in clinical genetics, I have spent the early part of my career pushing the cutting edge of science. Now that I am undertaking a BEd to teach high school biology, I aim to inspire future generations who can excel and enjoy science in the same way that I do.
I am available for tutoring at the grade 7-12 levels, as well as college undergraduates.
