About Hasna
I’m Hasna, a native Moroccan Arabic speaker with a strong academic background in teaching Arabic as a second language.
Education: BA in Arabic Studies, MA in Applied Linguistics & Teaching Arabic as a Second Language, currently a PhD candidate in the same field.
Experience: I have been teaching Arabic (Fusha) and Moroccan Arabic (Darija) since 2022, both inside Morocco and abroad (including Germany).
Certifications: I hold professional certificates in teaching Arabic to non-native speakers.
My Approach: I design personalized lessons based on your goals—whether you need conversational Darija for travel, Modern Standard Arabic for academic purposes, or a mix of both. My background in linguistics helps me explain grammar clearly and make learning practical.
Fun Facts: I love learning languages myself (currently studying German), and I enjoy traveling and discovering new cultures.

My Teaching Methodology
As a graduate of a Master’s program in Applied Linguistics and Teaching Arabic as a Foreign Language, I have been trained in evidence-based, learner-centered approaches. I have had the opportunity to teach at two universities: Mohammed V University in Morocco and Otto-Friedrich University of Bamberg in Germany. My students came from different cultural backgrounds (China, Russia, Italy, France, the USA, Germany, etc.), and together we achieved successful outcomes.
I focus on developing the four language skills—listening, speaking, reading, and writing—through modern, communicative methods. My classes are varied and often fun. I use:
Interactive exercises and real-life materials (videos, dialogues, articles)
Structured yet flexible lessons tailored to your level and objectives
A balance between accuracy (grammar, pronunciation) and fluency (spontaneous conversation)
Beyond formal lessons, I often organize informal meetings or conversation sessions to give you the opportunity to practice the language with a native speaker in a natural setting. This approach has helped my students improve their Arabic quickly while enjoying the process and learning about Arabic and Moroccan culture.
I adapt to each individual’s needs. Whether you are a beginner wanting to learn Darija for travel, an advanced learner aiming to master Modern Standard Arabic, or someone in between, I will design a learning path that helps you achieve your desired goals.
My ultimate aim is to create an atmosphere of trust and fluidity in which learning comes naturally through exercises, exchanges, and genuine communication.

During my internship at the Dutch embassy in Rabat, I took lessons in Moroccan Arabic from Hasnae. I had some knowledge of Egyptian Arabic and Hasnae provided me lessons that perfectly matched my level.
