About Cassidy
Hi! I’m Cassidy, a teacher candidate currently completing my Master of Science in Education. I have several years of experience working with children and supporting students in school environments, and I love helping learners build both academic skills and confidence.
My tutoring style is patient, encouraging, and flexible. I believe students learn best when they feel safe to ask questions, make mistakes, and learn at their own pace. I especially enjoy working with elementary and middle school students in literacy, French, math, homework support, and study skills.
I aim to create a calm and supportive environment where students feel understood and capable, while also helping learning feel engaging and approachable.

My approach as a tutor is student-centered, supportive, and adaptable. I believe students learn best when they feel comfortable, encouraged, and actively involved in the learning process. I aim to create a low-pressure environment where students feel safe asking questions, making mistakes, and building confidence alongside academic skills.
My teaching methodology focuses on breaking concepts into manageable steps, using clear explanations, guided practice, and positive reinforcement. I adapt lessons to each student’s learning style and needs, including students who benefit from more neurodivergent-friendly approaches such as visual supports, movement breaks, flexible pacing, or additional structure. I also try to connect learning to students’ interests whenever possible to increase engagement and motivation.
A typical lesson includes a brief check-in, review of previous material, introduction or practice of targeted skills, interactive activities or guided work, and a short reflection on progress and next steps. I aim to balance skill-building with encouragement so students leave feeling more capable and confident.
What sets me apart as a tutor is my combination of educational experience, empathy, patience, and relationship-building skills. As a Master of Science in Education student with years of experience working in schools, I understand both academic development and the importance of emotional safety in learning.
My lessons are best suited for elementary and middle school students, particularly in literacy, French, homework support, math, and foundational academic confidence-building.
