About Harry
I have a decade and a half of experience playing the violin.
I have received instruction from respectable professors such as Ilya Kaler, Robin Wilson, Harald Aadland, Eileen Siegel, Stephan Barratt-Due and Rudolf Koelman.
I am currently studying violin performance at the Cleveland Institute of Music under Professor Ilya Kaler.
My former education includes the Norwegian Academy of Music and the Barratt Due Institute of Music in Oslo, Norway.
I also have a certificate of basic understanding of psychology from Yale University.

I teach BEGINNER-INTERMEDIATE classical violin playing.
Violin enthusiasts of all ages are welcome to join my class.
I charge 15$ per lesson.
I prefer communication via email.
My lessons will focus on developing YOU as an artist with individuality, regardless of technical capabilities. Though enthusiasm for the violin is highly encouraged, I will not allow students to practice more than their schedule permits, and certainly not more than the healthy amount.
I specialize in efficient practice methods and developing a way of playing that suits YOU and YOUR imagination.
How my teaching is tailored for each student:
- If you wish to practice scales and etudes, I will give recommendations.
- If you do NOT wish to practice scales or etudes, tell me immediately; I will not push you.
- We can schedule LESSONS FOR TALKING AND DISCUSSION free of charge.
- Though I take all students seriously, if you wish for a casual/relaxed learning experience, I will be happy to adjust.
I myself am a college violin student at the Cleveland Institute of Music.
