About Krishna
I am a chemistry professor at a local college. I have a Bachelor's degree in chemistry and a graduate degree in STEM teaching. Along with science, I also love ceramics. Clay has been a staple in my life since high school. I took a break for only the two years I was getting my graduate degree. Currently, I have my own fully stocked studio and run a ceramics business. I currently run Baum Road Studios with my brother, and we also sell our work at art festivals all around Florida.

My approach to teaching Ceramics and Stained Glass is grounded in hands-on learning, creative exploration, and technical precision. I aim to make each session both productive and enjoyable by: Demonstrating techniques step-by-step, from foundational to advanced. Encouraging experimentation, while helping learners understand the “why” behind each material and method. Balancing creativity with craftsmanship, focusing on both artistic vision and technical skill. Providing individual feedback tailored to each student’s pace, goals, and style. Whether working with clay or glass, I emphasize safety, proper tool use, and a strong understanding of materials. Typical Lesson Plan Each session is shaped by the student’s goals and experience level, but generally includes: Check-in & Planning (5–10 min): Discuss your current project, challenges, and goals for the session. Demonstration or Technique Focus (20–30 min): Hands-on walkthrough of a specific skill—such as slab construction, wheel-throwing, glass cutting, or soldering. Studio Practice (30–45 min): You apply the technique with guided support and real-time feedback. Wrap-Up & Reflection (5–10 min): Review progress, troubleshoot any issues, and outline next steps or at-home practice if needed. Who My Lessons Are For Adult learners of all experience levels—whether you're trying ceramics or stained glass for the first time or returning to a creative practice. Hobbyists and artists looking to develop specific skills like throwing, trimming, glazing, fusing, leading, or copper foiling. Creative individuals working on personal projects, portfolios, or gifts. My lessons are ideal for those who want to slow down, focus deeply, and create beautiful, meaningful work with their hands.
