To produce learning is the aim of teaching. Effective teaching of Spanish requires an understanding of the learning process. Teaching strategies have changed over time in response to studies and the requirement for students to communicate effectively rather than only memorize dialogue or grammar rules.
Learning Spanish used to be thought of as a process of developing habits. The first step involved teaching the kids a grammar rule. #2: The pupils worked on drills. In step three, the pupils created proper sentences. Errors were prevented and education was perceived as essentially "under control". Although mastering grammar is a crucial part of learning a language, there is much more to it. Spanish language proficiency is important for more than just passing written exams.
