About Jonata
I was born in the interior of São Paulo and moved to Mato Grosso when I was still a baby. I have always been driven by curiosity and discovery. Everything new enchanted me and the eager desire to learn about it was insatiable. It was like this, at the age of 15, due to an aimless conversation on Facebook, that I met a foreign citizen who, in turn, spoke English. And, because I'm very curious, because I think it's fantastic to talk to someone on the other side of the world, to know how things are there, I decided to accidentally learn a new language because of the desire for communication, deciphering codes, interpreting new cultures through of a new language through which new frontiers emerged. And, because of this avidity, no barrier was big enough to prevent me from accessing knowledge, be it financial conditions, poor access to resources, limited structure and family support. This was my first experience with a new world.

I like to teach in a relaxed, playful way and with lots of practical examples. I try to understand the students' difficulties in order to teach them the language. In this way, I like to make connections with our own mother tongue to act as support for learning a foreign language, among other ways.
