About Deven
I grew up right here in Burlington, Vermont. I attended culinary classes at the Community Kitchen Academy. Since then I have worked at B&B’s, resort style hotels, exclusive retirement communities, fine dining establishments, and even cooking for a sorority house. I have been in the food and hospitality industry for over 6 years now. I ran my own kitchen for the last three years and would really like to step away from the grind, and do something I’ve always wanted. Which is teach others how to cook! I think learning the skills to shop and craft your own healthy and delicious meal, is something you will use for a lifetime. And, it’s never too late to learn!

My personality is all about being fun and friendly; I want the whole experience to be as enjoyable as possible! Cooking can seem daunting to people, especially if they don’t do it all the time. My methodology will teach you new techniques and skills while allowing you to go at your own pace and not feel stressed. I find that when people are smiling, excited and having a good time in the kitchen it translates to even better tasting food!
