About HABIBE

I'm Habibe Kotan! I was born in Bursa province on 20 September 1993. I continued my education in Bursa until high school. In University, I studied Art at the History Department of Anadolu University in Eskişehir province. As I have a special interest in art from my earliest recollection, I went to courses in oil painting, pencil drawing, stone painting, and I have been performing works in line with the training I received. At University, I took courses such as Roman Art, Greek Art, European Art, Modern Art, Oriental Art and Orientalism. During the university period, we founded an association named Pir Sultan Abdal in Eskişehir and we gave private courses for children in line with their necessities.

After, i started to teach in the field of children with autism and mental illness, which is in my area of interest. This has shown me another aspect of life. These children who are between the ages of 5-16 were marginalized due to their disorders. I have been teaching for 4 years and during this period I tried to integrate the academic knowledge taught in school, such as reading, writing, and counting into their life.Life skills were taught such as teaching them how to do shopping in the shopping malls or by conducting events for their hand skills and ensuring them to have personal tastes in these events. Because these are the children who were isolated from society, and without their families, they could have become all alone. What I wanted was to enable them to obtain a minimum level of awareness for a human being to live and to integrate them into society. We were composing new fairy tales with them to contribute to their imagination. I graduated from the university, I observed those children at the school that I worked in from the point of an art historian and I realized that they were small people with various abilities. I believe that bringing them in society is our main task and for this reason, I asked myself what I can do for them. I knew that there were institutions that educated people with mental and physical problems and bring them into society in Byzantine and Ottoman periods.

I'm warm-blooded and sociable. As a result of many activities that I have done before, I can deal with problems in organization and leadership, and I can easily provide new solutions. I've tried to help my student as much as I can and, in this direction, I have created methods in my own way. I hope you give me a chance to my methods.
