My Teaching Approach Teaching Method and Techniques My teaching approach is student-centered, practical, and supportive. I believe that language is best learned through use, not memorization. I focus on helping students understand Filipino in a natural way and gradually build their confidence in speaking. I use: • Simple explanations of grammar • Real-life examples and situations • Repetition and guided practice • Visual aids, slides, and short exercises • Conversation practice from the start I adjust my teaching style based on the student’s level, pace, and learning goals. I am patient and encouraging, and I make sure students feel comfortable making mistakes, as mistakes are part of learning. Typical Lesson Plan A usual 50-minute lesson follows this structure: • Warm-up / Review (5 minutes) Short conversation or review of the previous lesson • New Lesson (10–15 minutes) Introduction of new words, expressions, or grammar • Guided Practice (15 minutes) Sentence building, pronunciation practice, and short exercises • Conversation Practice (10–15 minutes) Using the new lesson in real-life situations • Review and Homework (5 minutes) Summary of key points and optional practice tasks Lessons are flexible and adjusted based on the student’s needs.
