About Guitta
I am a TAFL-certified Arabic tutor with 10 years of in-person teaching experience. I specialize in teaching Modern Standard Arabic (MSA) and Lebanese Arabic to non-native speakers.
Over the years, I have worked with learners from different backgrounds and levels, helping them develop their Arabic skills and become more confident in using the language.
My in-person teaching experience has given me a strong understanding of how students learn and the importance of adapting explanations, activities, and lesson pace to each learner’s needs.
I believe that learning a language should be clear, practical, and adapted to each student. I therefore personalize my lessons according to your level, goals, interests, and learning pace.

My approach to teaching Arabic is practical, personalized, and focused on helping students use the language with confidence in real-life situations. As a TAFL-certified Arabic tutor with 10 years of teaching experience, I adapt my lessons to each student’s level, goals, interests, and learning pace.
I teach both Modern Standard Arabic (MSA) and Lebanese Arabic to non-native speakers. For MSA, I focus on developing reading, writing, listening, speaking, vocabulary, grammar, and comprehension skills. For Lebanese Arabic, I focus primarily on everyday communication, conversation, pronunciation, useful expressions, and understanding the language as it is naturally spoken.
My teaching method combines clear explanations with guided practice. I introduce new vocabulary and grammar in context, then give students opportunities to use what they have learned through conversation, reading, exercises, and practical examples. I encourage students to speak from the beginning, while providing corrections and explanations in a clear and constructive way.
A typical lesson begins with a short review of previous material, followed by the introduction of a new topic or language point. We then practise it together through exercises, reading, listening, or conversation, depending on the student’s objectives. Each lesson ends with a review of the key points and, when appropriate, recommendations for practice between lessons.
What sets me apart is my ability to combine structured teaching with flexibility. I do not use the same lesson for every student. I adapt the content and pace according to the learner’s needs, whether they want to learn Arabic from the beginning, improve their conversation skills, communicate with Arabic-speaking family members, prepare for travel, develop their professional Arabic, or deepen their understanding of Arab culture.
My lessons are suitable for complete beginners, intermediate and advanced learners, as well as students who already have some knowledge of Arabic but want to improve their speaking, pronunciation, reading, writing, or overall fluency. I welcome learners with different goals and backgrounds and work with each student to create a clear and achievable learning path.
