About Carlos
My name is Carlos, I am a systems engineering and microbiology student at the Universidad de los Andes in Colombia. Last semester I was an instructor for the introduction to programming course at the university, something I really enjoyed. I am someone who is passionate about teaching and who has a lot of patience. I try to make my classes as pleasant as possible and answer all the doubts of my students.
I want to help people who have never programmed before to learn the basics of programming, which they can use to take more advanced and specific courses in their area of interest.

The course is divided into two types of classes, theoretical and practical, each lasting 1 hour.
Theoretical classes consist of learning the basic concepts of programming, the Python language and solving complex problems in simpler problems. In the theoretical classes, examples will be presented to show the student the possible solutions to the same problem.
In the practical classes the student will be given several exercises that must be solved and sent at the end of the class, the student will be able to ask questions and use their notes to do them.
If the student requests it, they can practice with additional exercises and ask the questions regarding these in class.
Since programming is an exercise that involves a lot of practice, it is suggested that for every 3 hours of theoretical class at least 1 hour of practice is carried out with the help of the tutor.
For the course, it is recommended to take a total of 4 weekly classes, 3 theoretical and 1 practical, this to advance quickly and avoid forgetting what was learned in class. However, the hours taken weekly are the student's decision, they can take more or fewer hours according to their disposition.
The course is designed to be completed in 4 months with an hourly intensity of 4 hours per week, this time can be affected by the hours taken weekly and the student's progress throughout the course.
