About SUKANTA
PhD in Organic Chemistry, Postdoctoral experience in Synthetic Organic Chemistry from USA (SMU, Dallas, Texas) and UK (RGU,Scotland and UU, Northern Ireland). 75 publications, 4 Granted US patents till date. Presently I am working on stopping or slowing the relentless loss of brain cells in diseases such as Alzheimer's and Parkinson's. Dallas-based startup EncephRx, Inc. was granted the worldwide license to the jointly owned compounds made by our group at SMU. A biotechnology and therapeutics company, EncephRx will develop drug therapies based on the new class of compounds we made as a pharmaceutical for preventing nerve-cell damage, delaying onset of degenerative nerve disease and improving symptoms.
