About Matei
During my graduate degree at UBC, I was a teaching assistant for 8 years and specialized in 2nd and 3rd year organic chemistry courses: CHEM 203, 213, 233, and 313. My office hours (held both in-person and over Zoom) have helped chemistry majors, biology majors, and pre-med students master the course material assigned to them and develop their "chemical intuition" for future challenges in both chemical synthesis and biosynthesis.

After an overview of the student's coursework and the expectations of the course's instructors, I can leverage my 8 years of university-level teaching experience to clarify difficult concepts in organic chemistry, mentor eager learners on their study habits, and devise challenging problem sets for those prepared to perfect their understanding of the course material.
