About Syama
Hi, I'm Shar
I'm sometimes a teacher, but always a student of Yoga. Over the last 6 years I've encountered a few varieties of Yoga practices, Bhakti Yoga being topmost. I received Hatha Yoga teacher training in Ojashvi Yoga Shala in Rishikesh, India, 2017, where I was able to dive into the physical and subtle aspects of Yoga. Overtime, I've been fortunate to have the association of senior practitioners of Bhakti Yoga, and access to a lineage of divine spiritual teachers, who are realised in the transcendental aspects of Yoga. Through their inspiration and guidance, I've been given the space to offer classes, courses and workshops within schools, yoga centres, wellness groups and more. I'm always learning and growing with my practice and I look forward to sharing a rejuvenating practice with you.

My teaching method is based on the students I work with. My techniques and methods of instruction are based on intuition. Lessons are inclusive of all 'levels', and I believe that starting where you are at, and growing step by step from there has the highest impact. So, I work with students in this way.
I have a curriculum accommodating beginner and intermediate practitioners.
At the moment, course curriculum includes:
Balance
Flexibility
Strength
Joint loosening
Anti anxiety (multiple pranayama practices)
Menstrual cycle (optional for women)
Also based in First floor space, Croydon.
