About Sabrina
Hello! I’m a violin tutor with more than 8 years of teaching experience and an Associate of Music in String Performance. I specialize in folk traditions like Norwegian Fiddle, Swedish Fiddle, and Klezmer. I enjoy teaching ornaments, rhythmic bowing patterns, and expressive phrasing.
Lessons emphasize ear-based learning, improvisation, and repertoire-driven practice. Folk jam tracks and drone tuners help students feel the music naturally. I encourage students to internalize melodies and express them creatively.
We explore bowing patterns, phrasing, and stylistic nuance in each tune. Lessons are interactive, culturally rich, and personalized to each learner. Students develop confidence, musicality, and interpretation.
