About Mariam
Hi! I’m a current university student with a genuine passion for helping students learn and feel more confident in their abilities. I have previous experience tutoring students in group settings in Malawi, where I worked with learners of different ages and abilities. This experience taught me how to explain concepts in different ways and adapt my approach to suit each student. I enjoy creating a friendly and comfortable learning environment where students feel encouraged to ask questions and are never afraid of getting something wrong. I’m passionate about education and would love to use my experience to support students with their schoolwork, strengthen their understanding and help them reach their academic goals.

My lessons are personalised, engaging and focused on helping students build both understanding and confidence. I have experience tutoring students in groups and supporting learners with different abilities and learning needs. I can teach a wide range of subjects up to Year 9, as well as selected subjects at IGCSE and A-Level. I adapt each lesson to the student’s level, school curriculum and individual goals, whether they need help understanding difficult topics, completing schoolwork, preparing for exams or simply building confidence in a subject. As a current university student, I understand the pressures students face academically and aim to create a friendly, comfortable environment where they can ask questions and learn at their own pace.
