About Kimberly
I’m Kimberly, an English and Modern History tutor who specializes in essay writing, literacy development, source analysis and exam preparation for high‑school students. I’m currently completing a Bachelor of Education (Secondary – Modern History) and have passed LANTITE Literacy & Numeracy (Band 2), demonstrating strong academic skills.
I’m calm, structured and supportive — especially for students who struggle with writing, organization, anxiety, ADHD, OCD or ODD. My goal is to help students feel confident, capable and prepared for their assessments.

My lessons are structured, supportive and fully online, designed to help students in Years 7–12 improve their essay writing, source analysis, literacy and exam preparation in English and Modern History.
Each 60‑minute session follows a clear format so students always know what we’re working on and why:
1. Warm‑up & Goal Setting (5 minutes)
A quick check‑in to identify today’s focus — an essay, a paragraph, a source question, or an upcoming assessment.
2. Targeted Skill Focus (10 minutes)
A short, practical mini‑lesson on a core skill such as essay structure, TEEL/PEEL paragraphs, source analysis, text analysis or study skills.
3. Guided Practice Using Schoolwork (30 minutes)
We work directly on the student’s current tasks:
Essay drafts
Source questions
Homework
Assessment planning
Exam preparation
I use Google Docs + Zoom so we can edit writing live, build essay plans together and practise analysis in real time.
4. Feedback & Improvement (10 minutes)
I rewrite one paragraph or source response as a model and explain how to strengthen structure, clarity and evidence.
5. Wrap‑up & Next Steps (5 minutes)
Clear, achievable actions for the week and a confidence boost to finish strong.
