About Gianluca

I'm Gianluca, an Occupational Therapist with over 10 years of experience working with children and families across Italy, Saudi Arabia, and Australia.

I currently work as a Senior Pediatric Occupational Therapist, supporting children with autism, ADHD, sensory processing difficulties, and learning challenges such as dyslexia, dyscalculia, and dysorthography. I hold two degrees—a BSc in Occupational Therapy and a BSc in Cognitive Science/Psychology—which gives me a strong understanding of both clinical practice and how children learn and develop.

Throughout my career, I have worked in hospitals, clinics, schools, and family homes. I have extensive experience mentoring students, new graduates, and junior therapists. But some of the most rewarding work I do is with children who learn differently—helping them build skills, confidence, and independence in their learning.

I understand that every child is unique. What works for one student may not work for another. My approach is to listen carefully, assess each child's strengths and challenges, and develop practical strategies tailored to their specific needs. I focus on making learning feel achievable, not overwhelming.

I am patient, professional, and committed to providing clear, practical support without unnecessary jargon. If you are looking for guidance or support for your child, I am here to help.

About My Lessons

My sessions are designed for students who learn differently—and for the parents and educators who support them. Whether your child has ADHD, dyslexia, dyscalculia, dysorthography, or struggles with writing and math, I focus on building skills, confidence, and independence in a way that works for them.

How it works:

We start by understanding your child's strengths, challenges, and learning style. I don't use a one-size-fits-all approach. Instead, I assess where they're at and build a plan tailored to their specific needs—whether that's math concepts, reading, writing, organization, attention, or study strategies.

What we'll cover:

Math support, including dyscalculia and foundational number skills

Reading and writing strategies for dyslexia and dysorthography

Handwriting, spelling, and written expression

Attention, focus, and organizational skills for ADHD

Multisensory learning techniques that make concepts stick

Building confidence and reducing frustration around schoolwork

Strategies for parents and educators to support learning at home

Format:

Sessions are online and typically run 45–60 minutes. I work one-on-one with students, and I'm happy to include parents in parts of the session if that helps. After each session, I provide clear takeaways and practical strategies you can use between sessions.

My approach:

I've worked with children who learn differently for over 10 years as an Occupational Therapist. I understand how these challenges affect not just academics but also confidence, behavior, and daily life. My goal is to make learning feel achievable—not overwhelming. I'm patient, structured, and I adapt to each student's pace.

If you're not sure whether this is right for your child, send me a message. I'm happy to chat and see how I can help.
