About Rebecca
This is my second year working as a supplemental instructor at Kent State university, and I believe the skills I have learned as an educator are ideal for tutoring. Additionally, I have kept a 4.0 GPA throughout my undergraduate career via the study techniques I have developed. I have experience working with both freshmen and upperclassmen, facilitating general and organic chemistry. I have participated in many elective courses, including up to inorganic chemistry III, advanced topics in analytical chemistry, and formulation chemistry. This spring, I was the recipient of an award from Kent State's academic success center for serving the highest percentage of students in the supplemental instruction program. I have also participated in research at my university, and I will be credited as a co-author on several upcoming publications.

I hope to facilitate lessons that are comfortable, fun, and informative. My goal is to help you be more confident and knowledgeable, so that you may succeed in your future experiences with chemistry. I have experience with many of the most difficult topics required in general and organic chemistry, and I believe I can explain them concisely and effectively. A typical lesson with me would be guided by your specific needs. One of the best ways to learn chemistry is by first studying the underlying theory, and then completing numerous practice problems and evaluating common mistakes. I will provide you with spoken instruction whenever needed, and also source/create many resources in order for you to practice independently.
