About Marie
With 17 years of experience as a piano tutor, I teach high school students, college students, and adults who are passionate about learning music. I have successfully guided around 300 students, helping them improve both technical skills and musical understanding.
My teaching philosophy is based on personalised learning and positive motivation. I believe students perform best when lessons are tailored to their strengths and challenges. I take time to understand each student’s goals before creating lesson plans.
In my sessions, I focus on posture, hand technique, rhythm, and music reading. I also introduce music theory in a practical way so students understand what they play. I encourage students to express emotion through music and develop confidence while performing.
One of my proudest achievements is helping students overcome fear and self-doubt while playing piano. Many learners have improved their confidence and performance ability through my guidance.
My goal is to create a calm and encouraging learning space where students feel safe to learn and grow. I aim to help every student enjoy the piano learning journey.

My piano teaching approach is based on communication, adaptability, and real-world learning. I begin by understanding each student’s goals and preferred learning style, then plan lessons accordingly. I explain concepts clearly using simple language and demonstrations.
I use real-life examples, familiar songs, and case studies from concerts and recordings to show how piano skills are applied in real situations. This makes learning more meaningful and enjoyable.
Along with piano performance, students learn music theory, chord progressions, rhythm patterns, sight reading, ear training, and basic improvisation. These subjects support creative and confident piano playing. My goal is to help students grow musically while enjoying the learning process.
