About Artur

I’m a professional chess player and experienced online coach with years of competitive play and teaching under my belt. Having participated in numerous tournaments, I have a deep understanding of chess strategies, tactics, and the psychology behind the game. My lessons are designed to be comprehensive, covering everything from openings to middle-game strategies, and endgame techniques. Using interactive tools like Lichess, I help students analyse games, solve puzzles, and engage in practical exercises. With experience coaching players of all ages and skill levels, including complete beginners and advanced players, I know how to keep lessons fun and engaging—whether it’s a young learner as young as 4 years old or an experienced adult player. I customise each lesson to suit the individual, helping students build confidence and enhance their chess skills while enjoying the learning process.

Find out more about Artur

  • 1) When did you start practicing? How did this passion find you?

I developed an interest in chess at a young age. What began as a casual game quickly turned into a deep fascination with strategy, critical thinking, and the psychology behind each move.
  • 2) Which artists or works affect you the most?

I’ve been most influenced by great chess players and thinkers who view the game as both art and science
players like Garry Kasparov and Magnus Carlsen. Their creativity, mental strength, and ability to adapt in any situation constantly inspire me to push my own limits and think beyond standard approaches.
  • 3) What are the qualities and skill required to succeed in this area?

Success in chess requires consistency, curiosity, and emotional control. You need the patience to study deeply, the discipline to practice regularly, and the willingness to learn from both victory and defeat. Above all, a true passion for the game keeps you motivated through every challenge.
  • 4) What is the most valuable advice you can give to help someone stay focused on creative projects?

Enjoy the process of learning rather than just chasing results. Improvement takes time. Stay curious, stay consistent, and treat every setback as an opportunity to grow.
  • 5) How would you describe your passion; how does it make you feel?

Chess gives me both peace and excitement. It challenges my mind while offering a sense of flow and focus that few other activities can match. Teaching it brings even greater joy seeing students grow in confidence and skill reminds me why I love this game so much.
  • 6) What creative achievements are you particularly proud of?

I’m proud of helping my students reach milestones they once thought impossible from winning their first tournament to developing a genuine love for the game. Each student’s success is a reflection of the time, trust, and teamwork we build together.
  • 7) Have you ever been surprised by a student; by their ability or quick progression?

Yes, absolutely. Some students surprise me with how quickly they grasp advanced concepts or develop original ideas on the board. It’s inspiring to see how unique every mind is and it reminds me that great potential can appear at any level or age.
  • 8) Being a Superprof is an art! What is your secret?

My secret is personal connection. I enjoy breaking down complex ideas into simple, engaging lessons tailored to each student’s learning style. Whether a beginner or an advanced player, I make sure each student feels supported, challenged, and motivated. My goal is not just to teach chess but to build confidence, discipline, and a lifelong appreciation for the game.
