About Christopher
I have been tutoring for friends and colleagues for about four years now, but have been tutoring for a college (note: not as a professor, but as peer tutor of sorts) beginning last semester and will be tutoring at my current university for a class I am taking as well. Although I have not finished my Bachelor's Degree yet, I am a great tutor. My goal is to help the student learn concepts rather than entire topics all at once. Many students who "suffered" through Music Theory, are slower or "Hands-On" learners. With that said, there should always be tutors around to help breakdown concepts further outside of class, because the professor will most likely not be able to stop due to the amount of content lower-division courses have to get through.

I can tutor Music Theory for AP Music Theory (which I took in High School) and at the Lower-Division level of College (Music Theory I-IV or similar status). If a student knows what they struggle with, we tackle, together, the topic at hand by going through examples of related topics. If the student does not know what they struggle with, I will ask for notes, syllabi, or worksheets from class to determine the topic and help explain the topic, along with taking a more personal approach to tutoring by allowing concepts to sink in before moving on (unlike classroom lectures, when the professor has to teach 20-50 students in a given class).
