About Aruna
I am a Sociology student who received a B at French A-Level. I have previous experience in tutoring two GCSE level students, and have received tutoring myself in the past. Although I no longer study the language, I still read books written in French, and have kept all material for the subject since I was in Year 7, including vocabulary and grammar books, all of which could provide exercises relevant to the relevant level of learning.

In the past, I based my classes off whatever topic the students were learning at the time, and helped them with set homework, extended vocabulary for the topic, and helped them with grammar they wished to use when writing answers down. I found that their teacher tended to make their answers more grammatically simplistic, when they could have helped them learn the grammatical rules when forming more complex sentences. For any interested students during this summer period, I am happy to help them get a head-start to their curriculum for the coming academic year, finding relevant materials and creating writing, listening, reading and speaking exercises. My more advanced areas are writing, reading and oral aspects of French, so might not be as useful for students who are seeking tutoring specific to improving their listening skills. Moreover, if a younger student is looking for help with improving their vocabulary, I have exercise books I can photocopy from that they can keep for further reference.
