About Lucy
Hi, I’m Lucy, a Data Science major at Northwestern University with a strong academic background and a careful, reliable approach to teaching. I am also interested in philosophy and psychology, which have shaped the way I think, communicate, and work with others. I take my work seriously, value clear and respectful communication, and always aim to create a supportive learning environment. My goal is to help students feel comfortable, capable, and motivated while working with someone they can trust.

In a typical lesson, I first find where the student is confused, then explain the concept in a simple way, work through examples together, and give practice problems so they can build confidence on their own. I always adjust my teaching style to the student’s level and pace.
What sets me apart is that I am patient, clear, and focused on real understanding. I want students to feel less intimidated by calculus and more confident solving problems independently.
My lessons are best for high school and early college students taking calculus or related math classes, especially those who want extra support, clearer explanations, or more practice.
