About Maria
I am a Cambridge-educated teacher and tutor who has seven years of experience working in some of the world's most prestigious and challenging educational environments. I have taught in both monolingual and multilingual settings, teaching students aged two years old to sixty years old (though not at the same time!) and have designed my own schemes of work which have been recognised as impactful and efficient by schools. Outline:
As a Cambridge-educated English teacher, my pedagogical practise is supported by world-class research. I have supported individual students in improving their long-term recall during revision, resulting in grade boundary improvements from 8 to 9, particularly in Language Papers and essays on Shakespeare. I offer private tuition for the OCR and AQA exam boards.
Lessons:
I support students in developing the critical skills needed to succeed in exams. I support students in developing their own thoughts and theories in order to formulate and justify an articulate, well-structured response. I provide resources to aid student recall of essential linguistic terminology and to support their analysis of form, genre and sociopolitical contexts.

Maria is amazing! I’ve improved my english so much during my time having lessons with her.
