I personally use the Feynman techniques, energy paradox method and pattern thinking,
etc to understand anything.
As a student myself,I can tell how it feels, when a concept doesn't get to your mind.
Basically ,I call that situation "logical gaps".
Example: logical gaps is like, trying to solve a advance integral problem , without the understanding of limits.
