My usual method of teaching ( for Grammar )is to approach the topic by giving an example and testing the current knowledge that the student has and for (School textbook English), I usually start the story/poem by talking about the idea on which the said lesson is based on and then carrying forward with reading, interaction, and queries. The students are free to stop me anytime during the explanation to ask any sort of doubt. I understand this because I am a student myself. I teach students from grade 5 to any form of degree.
