About Lia
I’m Lia, a lifelong dog lover with years of hands-on experience caring for and training dogs, including my four working breeds and volunteering with rescues. I want to teach because I love sharing practical, positive training methods that help owners understand their dogs and build confidence, making everyday life calmer, happier, and more enjoyable for both dog and owner.

Hi! I’m Lia, and I help dog owners teach the basics in a friendly, practical way. I’ve volunteered for years with dog rescues and have four working breeds as pets, giving me a solid, hands-on understanding of dog behaviour and training needs. I offer lessons on basic commands like sit, down, stay, and come, as well as polite walking, greetings, and managing excitement or nipping. My approach is simple and positive: I focus on clear communication and reward-based training, so you and your dog build trust and confidence together. Lessons are tailored to your dog’s personality and your goals, with step-by-step guidance and practical exercises you can practise between sessions. Sessions are available remotely via Zoom, so you can learn from home with your dog present. Whether you’re a new owner or looking to refresh your dog’s basic training, my goal is to make learning simple, achievable, and enjoyable — so you can enjoy a happy, well-behaved dog.
