My methodology focuses on demystifying economics by connecting textbook theory to real-world events we see every day. I use a two-step technique: first, ensuring a rock-solid understanding of the core concept (like supply and demand), and second, applying it to a relevant example (e.g., why housing prices in New Zealand are changing). This application-focused approach is how I am taught at the University of Waikato. A typical lesson is 30-60 minutes. This gives us enough time to review previous concepts, tackle a new topic in depth, and work through practice questions or essay planning together. These lessons are specifically designed for secondary students studying NCEA Level 2 and Level 3 Economics.
