I am a structural engineering undergraduate student at UC San Diego. I am entering my senior year this fall and will be continuing with my masters degree after completing undergraduate degree.

About Olivia
I entering my senior year at UC San Diego. I have worked at our recreational facilities on campus, interned with a general contractor, and ran the steel bridge project team throughout my undergraduate experience. From these experiences, I have had ample opportunities to learn how to lead a group of individuals while balancing my school schedule. I have learned how to efficiently pass down my knowledge to the years after me. This has earned me an internship at a civil engineering consulting firm, Kimley-Horn, this past summer as well as the position of Co-President of the Society of Civil and Structural Engineers at UC San Diego. I am excited to share my knowledge and help people continuing their education!

I worked with children at the Lemon Grove Recreation Facility for three years. A large part of the reason I am pursuing a degree in structural engineering is because I have a passion for math and everything included in it. Helping other people gain a better understanding of math allows me to share my passion and hopefully motivate people to pursue their interest in this area. I can also help people that are finding their path to college and are trying to narrow down what exactly they want to do and where. I have been extremely involved in student organizations at UC San Diego and I often encourage people to get a full experience before entering the career field by exploring the professional development opportunities offered on campus. It is a great way to network, make new friends on campus, and honestly figure out what you want to work towards.
