About Anjana
I am a Civil and Structural Engineering educator with 15+ years of teaching experience in higher education, specializing in Structural Engineering and core Civil Engineering subjects. I hold a B.Tech in Civil Engineering and an M.Tech in Structural Engineering and have taught students from different universities and academic backgrounds.
My key areas of expertise include Structural Analysis, Theory of Structures, Engineering Mechanics, Strength of Materials/Mechanics of Solids, Matrix Methods of Structural Analysis, Reinforced Concrete Design, Steel Structure Design, Prestressed Concrete, Finite Element Methods, Dynamics of Structures, and Theory of Elasticity.
I have experience teaching students following different curricula, including KTU, CUSAT, MG University, and the University of Calicut, as well as students following international university curricula. I have also taught advanced Structural Engineering subjects at the postgraduate level.
My teaching approach focuses on building strong conceptual understanding and developing problem-solving skills. I explain difficult concepts step by step, use practical examples, and guide students through numerical problems so that they understand not only how to arrive at an answer, but also the reasoning behind it.
Engineering Mechanics and Structural Engineering are among my strongest teaching areas, and I have maintained a very high pass rate among the students I have taught, including a 100% pass history in Engineering Mechanics.
