About Shazia
Sewing helps you develop fine motor skills, improves your focus and concentration and teaches the importance of patience and self-control. I am graduated in mathematics and worked as bank officer, accontant and as a maths teacher. I absolutely love stiching that is my passion. I had more than 10 years stitching experience, I design and stich clothes for my daughters and other family members. According to me first step is always begin with the machine unthreaded and sewing on paper. Teach them mastering speed is one step in getting full control of the sewing machine. Print out practice sheets. My goal is to have the student sew an even distance from each line, not on the line. So once they get trained have a printout of the directions for each student. This allows students to make the project again on their own. Choose a simple sewing project. An envelope-back pillow can be used by any age group, and a potholder is always a useful item. Allow the students to feel comfortable with finishing a simple project before moving on to a commercial pattern.
