About Liam
My name’s Liam — nice to e-meet you! I’m an experienced Broadcast & Streaming Engineer with a long-standing passion for teaching. I use visual examples and open discussion to help learners truly understand how OTT and broadcast systems work in the real world. My sessions follow a bespoke framework, but I’m always happy to tailor them to your exact needs. Over the last decade and some, I’ve received really positive feedback from those I’ve taught, some of whom have gone on to bigger and better things!

My tutoring approach is practical and discussion-based. I use real examples from broadcast and OTT streaming environments to explain how technologies like encoders, packagers, CDNs, and players connect to deliver live and on-demand video. Lessons typically last 60–90 minutes and are adapted to your level — whether you’re new to IT or already working in a technical role. Each session includes clear diagrams, walkthroughs, and time for questions to ensure understanding before moving on. With 13 years of experience in IT, broadcast, and streaming engineering, I’ve trained numerous professionals and built technical support teams from scratch. My goal is to help you not only learn the technology but also understand how it applies in real operational environments. Lessons are online only and ideal for learners aged 18+ who want to strengthen their technical knowledge or transition into OTT and streaming roles.
