About Katie
I am a student from Scotland, about to study History and English just coming from Advanced Highers in school. Having achieved A grades in all my Scottish qualifications, with particularly high abilities in History, English and Modern Studies, I’m offering tutoring to Scottish secondary school students in these subjects and in the skill of essay writing.
I have experience tutoring junior secondary school pupils in English and maths and a PVG to work with young people.

My teaching method would vary with the individual; having come straight from school I understand well the new methods of learning and would guide pupils using a range of techniques. With knowledge of the recent exam structure I would root my lessons in the principle of both expanding the pupil’s understanding and enthusiasm for the subject whilst ensuring my methodology is fully compatible with the demands of the qualifications. Ultimately, depending on the needs of the individual, lesson approaches, the level of intensity and the balance between conversation and written work can vary.
