About Mahad
My name is Mahad, and I'm a Sixth Form student currently studying A-Level Physics, Maths, Further Maths and Computer Science, with a UKMT Gold Award and Senior Kangaroo qualification in maths competitions, just finishing Year 12. I've taught maths for a while at school, with my passion for problem-solving transferring over into my teaching. My approach is patient and structured — I focus on identifying exactly where a student is getting stuck, then rebuilding their understanding from that point rather than just repeating the same explanation. I care about students genuinely understanding the material, not just getting through it, and I bring the same enthusiasm to tutoring that's driven my own results.

I mentor younger students through my school's Team Maths Challenge and Peer Mentoring programme, so I'm used to breaking down tricky topics in a way that actually clicks, not just repeating the textbook. My lessons are exam-focused: we work through past papers, target the exact areas losing marks, and build confidence with exam technique rather than just content. Sessions typically run 45-60 minutes, tailored to whether you need weekly consistent support or focused revision before an exam. I teach GCSE Maths and Physics, with a strong understanding as a fresh graduate, layered with A-Level knowledge. Having experienced the GCSE stress before exams, I plan to use everything I've learnt from my experiences to teach students the best and most efficient ways to reach those top grades
