About Kateryna
Hi, I’m Kate, a University of Oxford graduate in Applied Mathematics and Statistics.
I know that Maths and Statistics can sometimes feel overwhelming, especially when a topic hasn’t been explained in a way that makes sense to you. My goal is to make these subjects clearer and more approachable by breaking difficult concepts down into simple, manageable steps.
I’m patient, friendly and always happy to explain something in a different way until it clicks. I want my students to feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and learning at their own pace.
My academic background in Applied Mathematics and Statistics has given me a strong understanding of mathematical thinking, probability, statistics and data analysis. I bring this knowledge into my lessons while keeping explanations practical and easy to follow.
Whether you need help with a particular topic, regular support with your studies or preparation for an exam, I’ll tailor our lessons to your level and goals and help you become a more confident, independent learner.

I offer friendly, structured and personalised tutoring in Mathematics and Statistics, with lessons adapted to each student’s level, goals and learning style.
My teaching approach focuses on developing genuine understanding rather than simply memorising formulae. I explain mathematical and statistical concepts step by step, using clear examples and plenty of practice. I also help students understand why a method works, so they can become more confident when solving problems independently.
Lessons can include algebra, probability, descriptive statistics, statistical inference, hypothesis testing, regression, data analysis and other Mathematics and Statistics topics, depending on the student’s needs. I can also support students with revision, coursework and exam preparation.
A lesson lasts 60 minutes. We can focus on a particular topic, work through difficult questions together, review previous material or prepare systematically for an upcoming examination.
I have a strong academic background in Statistics and Mathematics, and experience using quantitative and statistical methods.
My lessons are suitable for school, college and university students, as well as adult learners who want to strengthen their Mathematics or Statistics skills. Whether you need help understanding the fundamentals or tackling more advanced statistical concepts, lessons will be tailored to your individual goals.
