About Hannah
English Language Arts and Reading have always been my favorite classroom subjects. I spent time in high school and in college as a tutor for elementary and middle school-aged students. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Education with an emphasis in Secondary English Education and spent 2 years working as a high school English teacher. I also have multiple years of experience as a substitute teacher. This experience has helped me to learn and understand the importance of meeting kids where they are at and tailoring their education to their specific needs and learning styles.

As an educator, it is important to remember that each student learns and retains information differently. I pride myself on my ability to differentiate lessons and teaching methods based on the individual needs of my students. There is nothing wrong with a little trial and error as we work together to figure out the best methods for you specifically. I also believe it is important to build on skills and not just move past them when proficiency has been met. I want to push you to be your best in every aspect. There is nothing like celebrating with a student when the skill they have been struggling with finally clicks! As your tutor, I promise to be kind, patient, and celebrate all of the tiny wins with you on your educational journey.
