About Seth
Hi, I'm Seth, I'm 24 and I was born and raised in Hackney.
I'm from a low-income, single-parent, first-generation-immigrant household, and I was the first student at my state comprehensive to study English at the University of Cambridge. I graduated in 2017 with a 2.i. average, a First in my Tragedy paper, and a Starred First in my Part 1 Dissertation.
I am an actor by trade, and as a result, my main skills are empathy and communication. I believe that each tutee is unique, and I work hard to listen to your individual needs so that I can provide you with a bespoke experience. I find that using a personal approach really helps students not only retain knowledge, but also find the confidence to practice and demonstrate it in your own work.
I have over 100 hours experience tutoring here on this site, and over 400 hours Teaching English as a Foreign Language and considerable paid experience writing model English essays for A-Level students. Having attended one-on-one supervisions throughout my time at Cambridge, I also have experience talking through ideas, and explaining complex concepts simply and patiently.
