About Iona
I received a Chancellor’s Commendation award last year for my Honours thesis in Archaeological Science. Before this I obtained a BA specialising in Archaeology, Biological Anthropology, and Cultural Anthropology. I am set to start my PhD next year and in the meantime have been working on several published and soon-to-be published journal articles

My teaching works from the ‘bottom-up’ rather than ‘top-down’ and can give anyone an intuitive, genuinely interesting understanding of their field. Although I adapt strategies and explanations to fit the specific interests of students, the approach itself is one size fits all in terms of ‘hacking’ your abilities in academic writing, social sciences, or other areas of the humanities! By learning to ‘think’ from the bottom up, understanding and writing about complex content in a way that actually interests you comes naturally
